Late one evening last June, I took my dog outside to use the bathroom – her not me ;-). As we headed back into the house, I discovered this cool little slug ever so slowly inching it’s way up the back wall.

The shadows cast from the porch light intrigued me, so I just had to photograph it! I converted it to black and white and added the vignette to make it more dramatic. What do you think?

    • Thanks Missy, I’m glad you like it! 🙂 I usually prefer to work with color, but sometimes black and white works best to enhance the effect and add more drama.

    • Thanks Maria! ❤️ It was a chance encounter and I’m so glad I was lucky enough to capture it! I was amazed by the detail of the slug’s body, since I’ve never gotten close enough to see that before. What really caught my eye was the shape of the shadow it cast and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. So glad you like it! 😎🐌
