I took this shot of the pier at River Watch Restaurant and Marina late one night, after enjoying some live music inside the club. The band was great and the club was jumping, but as I stepped outside to explore the surroundings, I was taken by the stillness of the pier and how it contrasted with the amped up energy inside.

The original is in color, but I think black and white does a better job of conveying the mood I felt related to the contrast between the excitement inside the club vs. the stillness of the pier.
