Heart of Stone

When I first met you,
I had a heavy heart of stone.
I had accepted
That I would live my life alone.

But then you came along,
And showed me there’s a better way!
So now I thank you with my love,
Each and every day!

Your love has lifted me higher than
I’ve ever been.
Your smile has shown me the happiness
I’ve never seen.

As we fly above the clouds,
I feel the sun upon my face.
But there’s nothing quite as warm,
As the heat from your embrace!

Hold me closer darling,
And I will whisper in your ear.
Can’t wait to tell you,
That with you I have no fear!

Your love has lifted me higher than
I’ve ever been.
Your smile has shown me the happiness
I’ve never seen.

So glad I found you!
Now I’ll never be alone!
Your love has lifted
This heavy heart of stone!
