“A Little Head Keeps Me Up At Night!”

by Wes Pinter

I was deep into sleep when a face appeared.
It was hovering over my bed.
Awakened by the sound of a whispering voice,
But I couldn’t quite hear what it said.

It was dark in the room, so my eyes couldn’t focus,
But I saw the shape of a woman’s small head.
Her eyes were so cool and her lips were so full,
I was sure it was my girlfriend, Ingrid!

I yawned “Hey Babe, are you coming to sleep?”
As I turned over to lie on my side.
She cooed “Mmm hmmm!” then ran her hands up my leg,
And I knew that she wanted a ride!

Exhausted and sore from working all day,
Extra hours to pay off some bills.
But I love my girl Ingrid, and the way she loves me,
So I just couldn’t pass up her thrills!

She whispered “Lie back!” and “I’ll take care of you!”
Her voice was so breathy and low.
It gave me the shivers, soon followed by quivers,
Not knowing yet, how far she might go!

When she disappeared, toward the foot of the bed,
I could not see where her little head went.
As she caressed both my thighs, the blanket started to rise!
It was as if I was pitching a big tent!

My late night lover slowly pulled down the covers.
I felt licking and kisses so quick!
Icy cold was her touch, but I enjoyed it so much,
Until she gasped, as though she felt a strong prick!

That startling sound, while my girl was going down,
Made me jump up and wonder what for?
But that was nothing, so to speak, because I heard a loud creak,
It was Ingrid, who was now entering through the bedroom door.

My eyes opened wide, as my girl stepped inside,
And she asked me “to whom” I was speaking?
My heart began thumping! And my skin was goose-bumping!
You can imagine I was definitely freaking!

“That wasn’t you?” I frantically asked her, and “Nobody else went past her?”
While she made her way up, from downstairs.
She was busy watching TV, and there was no one else it could be!
Now the back of my neck was all covered in stiff hairs.

It’s been two years to the day, since that head went away
And I pray that it never comes back!
It was scary and frightful! No, it’s not so delightful,
To be attacked by a ghost in the sack!

My scary tale was erotic, but now I’m a little neurotic!
When I sleep, I must leave on the light!
You might think it sounds cool, until you’re faced with a ghoul!
A little head still keeps me up late at night!
